22' CATAMARAN

Design no. 88-222 - FRP/Sandwich

• Custom - One Off built, Launched and in operation in 1990 (we have only recently had photographs sent to us by the new (2006) owner.
• Power is by twin 135 outboards to give a maximum speed (on trial) of  37 knots.
• The hull form is a 15-degree deadrise "V" asymmetrical catamaran (tunnel-hull).
• Cockpit aft, walk-around side/fore deck.
• Full helm console with small cuddy cabin outfitted with double bunk and toilet
• Length (hull) =  22'-10"       Beam (mld) = 8’-4”      Depth (mld) =    3’-8”

Power –O/B  =  270 hp      Speed  =  37 knots       Fuel(US gal) =  80

 NB: From this design the builder developed a smaller (20’) version. Fitted with 2-90hp o/b engines the first vessel ran from Bella Bella to Vancouver (approx. 260nm) in 10 hours. Subsequent vessels were used for pleasure, commercial, and Search and Rescue applications.
