• Since launching in 1980 the Sundowner V has done several trips around the Pacific Ocean.

• On her maiden circuit, the designer crewed from Hawaii to Victoria (BC) completing the 2400 miles in 17 days despite encountering some storms, calms, and riding the edge of a typhoon for 2 days.

• The latest voyage for this vessel was in 2002 when she participated in and completed the Victoria-Maui race.
